We have worked with the team at Designs in air for the past 3 years on our BIG Spook Halloween activity.  The inflatables prove popular every year with families and visitors and helps us to increase footfall over the October half term by bringing thousands into the city every year.  Our audiences love to see our buildings taken over by the inflatables and our businesses love being involved too. Working with Designs in Air was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The team was incredibly helpful, professional, and responsive throughout the entire process, making a complex installation feel smooth and well supported. The quality of production was outstanding, and the inflatable sculptures were beautifully crafted, safe, and engaging for all ages. At Kaohsiung Green Park, the installation brought a wonderful sense of play and imagination into the landscape, instantly capturing attention and encouraging visitors to stop, explore, and interact with the space. It created a joyful, family-friendly atmosphere and noticeably transformed a familiar park environment into something surprising and memorable.

We hired Design’s in Air’s inflatable Mama Octopus for our World Ocean Day celebrations and it was a huge hit with our visitors! The team were great at answering all of our queries and supporting us with logistics – set up and take down (despite some bad weather) was as easy as could be. So impactful on our front lawn and such an exciting addition to a fun day!

We had an idea and Designs in Air brought it to life! From initial conversations with the team to being involved in the design, it was a fun, smooth process. When we received the final Story Palace we couldn’t wait to put it up and in 10 minutes the space was transformed and ready for an event – such an easy way to make a big impact. Our visitors love it and we have lots of Story Palace events coming up!

Designs in Air’s inflatable octopus tentacles were a huge success at our events! They brought vibrant energy, fantastic photo opportunities, and sparked so much excitement about ocean protection and the ratification of the High Seas Treaty. Kendal Calling took to the High Seas in 2024, so having an octopus engulfing a venue made a spectacular focal (and talking) point across the whole festival. With its UV design, the piece was visible and made an impact 24 hours a day exciting families as well as avid festival goers. 

Communication from DIA  before, during and after the festival ensured everyone from production to health and safety felt confident and well informed about the installation; including rig and de-rig. Already thinking about how we can work with the team on other events in the future!

Without Designs In Air’s delectable tentacles there is no way we could have had such a successful sell-out book launch! They were strikingly visible from across the convention and quickly made us the talk of the town. 

The models are incredibly easy to handle, with inflation taking a matter of seconds each day.

The DIA team similarly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible product in challenging circumstances and we look forward to working with them again as soon as possible!

Working with Designs in Air was an absolute delight from start to finish.
